The village of Iraq Al-Ameer is located 24 km west of Amman in Wadi Al-Seer, which is irrigated by a rich stream and shaded by olive, vine and fig orchards, and all kinds of pulses grow in its fields.
Archaeological monuments spread along the valley up to the Kafrin Dam and include:
1- Caves carved into the rock north to west
2. An old settlement in the village at the entrance to the site
3. Al-Abd Palace to the southeast on the Jordan Valley Road
4. The pond in the back of Iraq Al-Meer
5- The effects of the Kafrin dam (Umm Hdar)
SELA has cleaned and documented the heritage house site and is currently working on conservation work on it
